WELLINGTON came from behind to gain a 3-2 home win over Street in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western League tonight (Wed).

Street scored after only five minutes but Wellington hit back to take a 3-1 lead through goals by Josh Baker (64th minute), Glen Wright (66th) and Phil Mendonca (81st) before Street pulled a goal back in the 85th minute.

Sam Towler also fluffed a penalty for Wellington in the 40th minute.

Meanwhile, Wellington continue their run of home matches in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western League when they play Saltash United at the Playing Field on Saturday, April 5 (3p.m.).

Wellington Reserves, who won 1-0 away to Crediton United last Saturday, are away to top of the table Lapford in the Premier Division of the Devon & Exeter League.

Wellington Reds will be looking to maintain their bid for promotion in Division One of the Taunton Saturday League when they play away to Nether Stowey.

Wellington Wildcats play at home to Pen Mill Ladies in the semi-finals of the Somerset Women’s League’s KO Cup on Sunday (2p.m.).
