WELLINGTON will be looking to put two poor results behind them when they play away to Brislington in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League on Saturday, December 7.
Wellington, ninth in the table, have lost their last two matches in cup competitions to first division opposition - 4-0 to Mendip Broadwalk and 3-1 to Cheddar, both at home. Before this they also went down 4-1 at home to Bridgwater United in a league match.
These results followed one of Wellington’s best spells in years - a run of eight successive victories, six of them coming in the league.
Wellington Reserves are away to Wells City Reserves in the Somerset Senior Cup this weekend while Wellington A, now up to tenth in the Premier Division of the Taunton Saturday League, are away to Wembdon who are lying second.
Wellington Reds, who are sixth in Division One but have played only five matches, are home to tenth-placed Exmoor Rangers who have won only two of their fixtures this season.
Wellington side Moortown, whose match away to Wyvern Wanderers in the first division of the Somerset Sunday League last weekend was postponed, are due to play away to AFC Dunster this Sunday.
