WELLINGTON won their second major trophy of the season when they beat Burnham on Sea 4-0 in the Somerset U16 Shield at Middlezoy on Sunday afternoon. It is the first time a side from Wellington has lifted the trophy.
Wellington went into the game having already won Division One of the Under 16 section in the Taunton & District Youth League.
And they have just missed out on a unique treble after losing 1-0 to Staplegrove in the league's Under 16 KO Cup.
Joe Robinson (3) and Harry Jones snapped up the goals for Wellington against Burnham, after leading 3-0 at the interval.
"It's been a brilliant season," said joint manager Wayne Oaten who has run the side with Dave Jones.
"I thought we dominated the game against Burnham. We certainly deserved to win and it made up for our defeat in the KO Cup."
Oaten and Jones are to take over the running of Wellington's Under 18 side who play in the Western Counties Floodlit Youth League next season. They will be replacing Joe Conway and Andy Govier who are stepping down.
"I think a number of our lads in the Under 16s will be looking to play in the floodlit youth side," added Oaten.
