NORTH Petherton will be looking to move up to within five points of leaders Staplegrove when they play at home to Wyvern United in the Premier Division of the Taunton & District Saturday Football League at the weekend (Jan 18).

Petherton are eight points adrift of Grove who are without a game this weekend. Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, Minehead Reserves will be chasing their first victory of the season when they play at home to Bridgwater Wolves who are lying third in the table. Minehead are bottom with only two points from 12 matches.

Middlezoy Rovers Athletic will go top of Division One if they beat seventh-placed Norton Fitzwarren, while current leaders Dunwear United play inform local side Old Inn 98 in the Somerset Intermediate Cup. Exmoor Rangers play at home to Galmington Reserves with both teams struggling to fine some form.

North Curry will be looking to strengthen their position at the top of Division Two when they play away to Norton Fitzwarren. With title rivals Old Inn 98 in cup action, Curry can stretch their lead at the top to six points.

Wellington Reds, the footballing section of the local cricket club, play at home to Chilcompton United in the Somerset Intermediate Cup.
