MOORTOWN were on the front foot early taking the lead in the opening minutes through man of the match Sean Conway Jnr.
The game was end-to-end with both keepers being heavily involved.
Moortown’s stand-in keeper Ed Baker looked solid dominating his area.
Joey Conway made in 2-0 following some fine play from Sean Conway and Ben Evett.
Five minutes later Ash pulled one back with a fine free kick from 20 yards
Ben Evett made it 3-1 with a free kick of equal quality.
By this time the rain was making conditions very difficult which contributed to Ash scoring a second when the ball skidded across the box for a tap in.
Halftime arrived without any further goals.
By the start of the second half conditions had improved dramatically with bright sunshine.
Moortown pressed and pressed with Ash looking dangerous on the break.
After 25 minutes Bradski Holmans scored Moortown’s fifth goal.
Ash pressed forward trying to find away back into the match and were rewarded with a goal five minutes from time.
