WIVELISCOMBE begin the defence of their title in Division One of the West Somerset Cricket League with a home game against Holford this coming Saturday.
The fight for the first division championship could not have been much closer last season with Wiveliscombe pipping Stogumber by two points.
Stogumber are also in action on Saturday when they play away to Ashbrittle who won the second division last season.
Sampford Arundel, who came fourth last summer, play at home to Bishops Hull in their opener.
West Monkton, who were relegated from Division Two, start their bid to get back into the top division with an away game against Bishops Hull.
Churchinford, who won Division Three last summer, play away to Minehead.
