TWO very strong teams came up against one another in the Wellington Bowling Club Afternoon Triples League this week.

Brian Wombwell, Wendy Scott, Geoff Stamp and skip Ann Cowling's Badgers took up the cudgels against Suzanne Worth, Paul Kelsall, Diana Dagg and skip Brenda Wilson's Yzeds.

The Badgers started the better of the two teams and led 4 – 1 after four ends but Yzeds came back at them.

With just one to play Badgers led 10 – 8 but Yzeds collected a three in the last to pinch it 11 shots to 10.
