ACCELERATE Trampoline and Gymnastics have competed in the Southwest Championships - a competition which celebrates all levels and ages of the talent in the region.
It was a wonderful day combining Olympian Kirsty Way performing, with young gymnasts who were competing for the first time.
Nineteen Accelerate athletes travelled to Bath and returned with a haul of medals and personal bests including four SW champions, two silver medals and two bronze medals.
Head coach Jacob Turner said:“This was the largest team we have entered so far into any competition, and I was so thrilled with their performances. My coaching team of myself, Charlotte Vickery and Owen Pitman worked hard all day to make sure the team were supported and able to perform to their best.
The club was set up in lockdown and has a membership of almost 700 across their two units at Westpark and Willand and Blackbrook leisure centre, and after only four years, have developed their competition squad to include all ages and levels, including GBR silver medallist Jessica Vickery.
The cub runs toddler drop-in sessions and offers classes in gymnastics, trampolining and double mini trampoline as well as cheer, dance and regular workshops. Contact [email protected] or visit the website www.acceleratetrampoline.co.uk
