WELLINGTON-born content creator Flynn West was one of just six creators chosen by TikTok to join a world-renowned film festival at the beginning of the month.
Having been invited to join TikTok’s exclusive Film & TV Club, Flynn had the opportunity to join South by South West Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, where he was granted direct access to the heart of the film, TV, and creative industries.
At this year’s SXSW festival - one of the world’s largest festivals celebrating film, television, music, and digital innovation - Flynn gained exclusive access to red carpet events, industry panels, and brand activations.

At each of the events, the popular content creator had the chance to put together videos and reels for his TikTok account, which currently boasts more than 115k followers.
Highlights of the event include, walking the red carpet for the premiere of Another Simple Favour, starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, partaking in some exclusive filming with Paramount+, and talking all things entertainment with the Emmy-nominated writer, actress, and producer Issa Rae.
Mr West also had the chance to celebrate Spotify’s podcasting and marketing success, and enjoyed lunch, drinks and some glam with Amazon Prime Video.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity followed the influencer’s recent attendance at this year’s BAFTAs in February, where TikTok invited top entertainment creators to the prestigious awards ceremony in London.
Reflecting on his experience, Flynn said: “SXSW 2025 was an experience I’ll never forget. From walking the red carpet with Hollywood stars to engaging in conversations with industry legends like Issa Rae and collaborating with major platforms like TikTok, Spotify, and Paramount+, this opportunity was truly surreal.
“To think my journey started right here in Somerset and has now taken me to events like the BAFTAs and SXSW—it’s incredible.”
