A RARE opportunity will arise next month to learn more about Wellington Community Centre and to volunteer to help run it.

The Wellington Community Association charity, which manages the centre in White Hart Lane, behind the town’s postal sorting office, is inviting people to attend its annual meeting on May 1.

It will give people an opportunity to look around the building and see what it has to offer as a venue for meetings, leisure activities, and parties.

Anybody who wants to serve on the management committee can obtain nomination forms from Wellington Town Council which should be returned by 4pm on April 25.

The annual meeting will elect a new committee and officers during the proceedings, which start at 6pm.
