THESE days thoughtless thieves will steal anything, but now neighbours are determined to reunite a stolen planter with its rightful owners.

A planter has been found on a small football field near an alley, the alley in question leads from The Paddocks to Waitrose.

The Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator for Birch Road, Philip Tucker, has circulated it to his neighbours in a bid to locate the rightful owner, but with no luck so far.

A note attached to the planter is urging the person who stole and abandoned it on the football field to be ashamed, and is expressing hope that it finds its way back to its rightful owner.

At present, the planter is still on the ground by the alley, but will be collected and then dropped off to the owner once they have been located.
