Wellington's Town Crier has a new uniform, described as 'fabulous' by the Town Council.
The Town Crier, Andew Norris is set to perform at Wellington Town Council events throughout the year, where he will perform a 'specially-written cry.'
In a statement published to social media the council said: "Our Town Crier’s new uniform has arrived and he is looking all kinds of fabulous!
"All of our events this year will feature a specially-written cry performed by the admirable Andrew Norris. That is unless Vogue snaps him up to be on the cover!"
The new outfit comes as the council are carrying out a public consultation on a proposed mascot for events in the town. The council say the mascot costume would cost £3000.
