POLICE have arrested an 18-year-old man after a number of vehicles had their wing mirrors damaged in Wellington over the weekend.
The incident took place overnight in Priory, overnight between Friday April 5, and Saturday April 6.
Officers said house-to-house inquiries had been carried out, and the arrested teenager had since been released on bail while their investigation continued.
Issuing a statement a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “A number of vehicles sustained damage to their wing mirrors in the Priory area of Wellington overnight on 5-6 April.
"House-to-house enquiries have been carried out.
"An 18-year-old man was arrested over the weekend. He has subsequently been released on bail while inquiries continue."
Officers also referred residents to guidance on keeping their vehicles safe, advising them to ‘take regular photos of the vehicle’ and remember its VIN number.
