ST MARY’S Church in Hemyock and the local Scout Group are busy preparing for their annual summer fete and open afternoon.

The event at the Recreation Field – in parish hall if wet – is on Saturday (July 8) from 2-5pm and will feature stalls including cakes and savouries, books, plants, side shows, bric-a-brac, produce, secondhand goods, raffles and pocket money toys.

Cream teas and a barbecue will be available and the Scouts will be welcoming visitors to Be Prepared to enjoy activities they will be arranging.
