NYNEHEAD Garden club is holding its first meeting of the year on Monday, March 11.

The talk, which will start from 7.30pm, will be given by Dr Gavin Haig, entitled ‘The Healing Garden’.

The illustrated talk will put an emphasis on trees, hedgerows, birds, butterflies, and mammals to improve our healing and well-being.

The group has a busy schedule of speakers and trips booked for this year, including:. On Monday, April 8 Brian Carlson will host a a timely talk about hanging baskets.

Also returning will be the ‘Spud in a Bucket’ competition which this year starts in March. The grower of the heaviest spuds will win £10, and we will have spuds and buckets available at the March meeting.
