POLICE rushed to a Wellington street on Sunday (May 1) following a report a man was making threats.
Two police cars and a van raced down High Street after a member of the public reported threatening behaviour in Corams Lane, just after 2 pm.
Officers located the man and carried out a search - but did not find any weapon on his person and did not make an arrest.
In a statement a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called to Corams Lane in Wellington just after 2.15pm yesterday (May 12) following a third party report of a man making threats.
“Officers attended and located the man. He was searched and not found to be in possession of any weapon.”
The three police vehicles were later seen at around 4.20pm racing back down High Street with sirens on.
