A LUCKY Somerset based man has won the Set For Life’ National Lottery jackpot
After matching five main numbers in the Set For Life draw on Thursday, March 21, the man, known only as Mr. D, will be taking home £10,000 per month for a year.
He is planning to carry out renovation to his existing home.
Set For Life had three winners in the Thursday draw, and Mr. D joined two other lucky men. A man from Lincolnshire and a man from Leicestershire will also receive £10k a month.
Senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, Andy Carter said: “Amazing news for Mr. D - he can now look forward to receiving £10,000 every month for an entire year. What a stroke of luck after selecting a range of birthdays as his numbers.”
Players generate £30m each week for National Lottery-funded projects. This money helps fund projects across the nation, with more than 685,000 grants, supporting projects both big and small.
Set For Life is a draw-based game from The National Lottery. People pick five main numbers from 1 to 47, and one ‘Life Ball’ from 1 to 10, for the chance to win fixed prizes.
Awards range from the top prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years, to the second prize of £10,000 a month for one year and £5 for matching just two main numbers. The Set For Life game costs £1.50 per line and is drawn every Monday and Thursday.
