A WELLINGTON computer repair service has had £5,600 worth of laptops stolen in an overnight raid.

At around 1.30am on Wednesday, April 23, two individuals reportedly stole around 16 laptops from Micro-Check Computers on Longforth Road.

The shop’s owner, Gary Grensted, said having gained entry, one individual stayed on look out, while the second piled up the 16 laptops in around two minutes.

Mr Grensted said: “We’re lucky they only took what they did and not more.

“I’m not devastated by the whole thing but it’s annoying and it’s a lot of money.

“For now, we’re just asking people to look out for anyone selling laptops.”

“The incident is believed to have taken place at some point between 5.30pm on Tuesday, April 22, and 8.30am on Wednesday, April 23, after entry was gained to a property.
