WELLINGTON’S High Street curry house Tamarind Bay is set to undergo a revamp which will be revealed in a grand opening this May.

Acquired by CEO of Prestige Curry Awards, Asif Iqbal, the High Street restaurant will be renamed Wellington Tandoori Restaurant and Lounge, to offer sushi and bottomless brunch “Indian style”, says Mr Iqbal.

The Wellington venue is one of many to have been taken on by the Prestige Curry Awards group, including sites in Oxfordshire, Cardiff, and Glasgow, which have all undergone a makeover to become a new and improved Indian restaurant and cocktail lounge.

Mr Iqbal is inviting locals to join him in celebrating the grand reopening on Monday, May 19, from 6pm, for cocktails and food. Bookings can now be made by contacting Tamarind Bay.
