THIS Remembrance month the retirement development firm Churchill Living is inviting locals to an exclusive meet and greet event with Simon Weston CBE.

Simon is a Falklands War veteran renowned for his resilience, motivational speaking and advocacy work. Those attending the event will have opportunity to hear Simon’s inspiring story first hand and be part of an afternoon of courage and hope in the Owner’s Lounge at Riverain Lodge from 2pm on Wednesday, November 20.

In 1982 during the Falklands War, Simon was severely injured and sustained burns to 46 per cent of his body. Since then, he has become well known across the UK for his messages of achievement, triumph in the face of adversity and of seizing the moment and succeeding.

Jo Ridehalgh, senior marketing executive for Churchill Living’s South West division, said: “I’m thrilled to be welcoming Simon Weston CBE to Riverain Lodge for an afternoon of inspiring storytelling. We expect this event to prove very popular so those wanting to attend should get in touch and reserve their place to avoid missing out.”
