DON’T miss this upcoming creative writing course at Taunton Brewhouse this Autumn.

The four-part course is designed to help people embrace the beauty of the season and channel it into a variety of fun and exploratory writing exercises.

Whether those interested are seasoned writers or those who have never put pen to paper before, this course offers a welcoming, pressure-free environment where participants can let their imagination run wild.

Each week, participants will explore a different autumn-inspired theme, guiding them through a series of engaging activities to awaken creative spirits.

These exercises are specifically designed to break down barriers, free peoples’ minds from self-doubt and to open up to new ways of approaching writing.

Using props and prompts from nature, writers will be encouraged to experiment with language and storytelling in ways they may never have tried before.

From the crisp rustling of leaves underfoot to the earthy scent of a forest walk, the natural world will act as a springboard for creativity.

Leading the course is award-winning blogger and author Jo Middleton, best known for her hilarious and heartwarming novel Playgroups and Prosecco, published by Penguin.

Jo’s writing explores the chaos and comedy of single-parenting, but she’s also passionate about helping others discover their own voice. Her approach to creative writing is relaxed, inclusive, and most importantly, fun.

Whether people are writing their first novel or just crafting a witty Instagram caption, Jo believes there’s no ‘right way’ to write – it’s all about enjoying the process and seeing where peoples’ imagination takes them.

This course is for people keen to escape the stresses of everyday life and explore the magic of creative writing this autumn.
