FIVE members of Wellington Local History and Museum Society have taken on possibly their most demanding challenge of the year.
They will each choose just one object from the town’s museum which helps to tell the story of Wellington’s history and heritage.
Each of the five will then give a public talk to members and guests about their chosen object.
The museum, in Fore Street, contains a vast collection of several hundred objects, pictures, maps, and documents from over the centuries.
The different objects taken from the collection by the society members could be their favourite item or simply one which has a tale worth telling.
They may usually be on display or kept in the museum’s storeroom.
The talk will be given in Wellington Prep School Hall, South Street, at 7.30pm on Thursday, October 24, with entry at £3 for the society’s members and £4 for visitors.
