THE Rumwell Farm Shop team is celebrating this month after once again winning an array of Taste of the West Awards for its homemade products.
The family-run farm shop on the A38, between Taunton and Wellington, received six 2025 golds and one silver for items made onsite, including two which feature its farm-reared meat.
Partner at the Farm Shop, Anne Mitchell, said: “It’s wonderful to have been given these prestigious awards for our homemade products and to have so many golds again is a fabulous achievement.
“Once again, these are a recognition of the whole team here and demonstrate the dedication and commitment each team member shows – not just here in our Shop but also on our family farm, which is just up the road.”
Rumwell Farm Shop scooped two golds for gluten free items – one for its GF Kitchen’s viennese finger and another for a GF sausage entered by its butchery team; featuring its farm pork.
Sophie Mitchell, farm shop partner, continues: “Our bakery team took gold for our current Biscoff doughnut of the month, which is available all year round and very popular with customers. And our cake kitchen won a gold for its Biscoff millionaire slice.
“We started our GF Kitchen just over two years ago and this is great validation that we’re creating some really tasty GF products that people enjoy.”
The Taste of the West Awards, which were established in 1991, is the regional food and drink trade organisation for the South West of England.
The scheme rewards the region’s exceptional food and drink identity and works to develop the very best of the area’s industry.
