TAUNTON Brewhouse is set to showcase a family-friendly line-up of performances for the February Half Term, featuring everything from jaw-dropping science to magical adaptations of popular children’s novels.

The celebrations begin on February 18 with ‘Fairytales, Fables, and Other Assorted Nonsense’, a new comedy from Assembleth Theatre. Fairy tales are in turmoil when Little Red Riding Hood takes control of the land with an iron fist. Enter Susan – a brave and bold, yet somewhat reluctant hero – who must free the forest from Red’s oppressive rule.

On February 23, prepare for an explosion of fun with ‘Ministry of Science’. The UK’s favourite science team returns with an educational yet anarchic approach to the world of science.

Families can also look forward to ‘Room on the Broom’, the Olivier Award-nominated show based on Julia Donaldson’s beloved picture book. From March 1-2, join the witch and her cat as they embark on a journey and pick up an unexpected group of companions – a dog, bird, and frog – along the way.

And finally, ‘There’s a Monster in Your Show’, is playing from March 28-30. This interactive musical brings Tom Fletcher’s popular Who’s in Your Book? series to life on stage, where audiences can join Little Monster and his friends Dragon, Alien, and Unicorn as they create a hilarious, chaotic show together.

There will also be a series of family workshops on offer including a lino printing workshop for young people aged 11-15 years, allowing participants to design, carve, and print their own lino tile inspired by popular culture, and a lego printing workshop for children aged 8-11 years.

Tickets for February Half Term are now sale. Book online at tauntonbrewhouse.co.uk or contact the Box Office on 01823 283244 (open weekdays from 10am – 4pm).
