STUDENTS at Court Fields School transported audiences to the magical world of Oz recently with their production of The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition.
From the opening scene to the final bow, the cast delivered a high-energy performance filled with humour, heart, and plenty of classic songs, including Over the Rainbow and We’re Off to See the Wizard.
Dorothy (played by Molly L) and her loyal dog, Toto (Zedric C), were joined by a brilliant ensemble, and cast including Glinda (Angelhyn C) and the Wicked Witch (Karylle P), plus lovable Scarecrow (Grace P), a heartfelt Tin Man (James R), and a courageous Cowardly Lion (Nicola P), as they followed the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City.

Behind the scenes, an incredible team worked tirelessly on everything from costumes and props to lighting, sound, and choreography, helping to bring the world of Oz to life.
A representative of Court Fields School said: “The show was a colourful celebration of the talent, teamwork, and creativity found within the school’s community and was met with fantastic support, culminating in a sold-out final performance.
“Some audience members even returned for a second time, a true testament to the cast and crew's hard work in bringing this beloved story to life.”

“The school is also grateful for the fantastic support from families and the local community, and businesses, such as Before The Party, and Daniel at Dulux Decorator Centre Wellington, whose contributions and donations helped make this performance possible and will enable future ones
“With such an unforgettable show now behind them, the excitement is already building for the next production. One thing is certain — Court Fields School has proven that there really is no place like home for theatre and the arts.”
