COURT Fields School has hosted a successful wellbeing and development day for students of all age groups.

The PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic Education) day featured a diverse range of sessions and activities designed to equip students with essential knowledge and coping strategies for modern life.

Year-7 students began their day with an assembly from MHST and before going on a mental health walk to promote the benefits of staying active for mental wellbeing. The group then participated in workshops focused on coping strategies, giving them practical tools to navigate stress and challenges as they transition into secondary school.

Year-8 students had a session with local police officers, who delivered a workshop on community safety and understanding anti-social behaviour. Students also created powerful posters on the theme of respect, showcasing their creativity and commitment to fostering an inclusive school environment.

Year-9 students explored two critical topics: county lines and the dangers of vaping. The sessions were designed to raise awareness and provide students with the tools to recognise risks, understand the consequences, and make informed decisions about their own safety and health.

Students in Years 8-11 attended assemblies from the organisation Stand Against Violence. These impactful presentations highlighted the importance of making safe and respectful choices, addressing the consequences of violence, and fostering a culture of kindness and compassion.

For the older students, the PSHCE day offered practical advice on important topics. Years 10 and 11s learned about the C-Card scheme, ensuring they know where to seek advice on sexual health and contraception in a safe and confidential manner.

A representative of the school said: “Court Fields is proud to have delivered such a successful PSHE day and looks forward to building on its success in future events.

“The school remains committed to providing a holistic education that addresses both academic achievement and personal development.”
