POLICE investigating the assault of a woman in East Reach, Taunton, believe they have identified two men they wanted to trace after a public appeal.

The assault happened on Monday, February 3, when a woman was pushed off her mobility scooter. The victim, in her 70s, sustained fractured ribs, bruising to the arms and had her glasses were broken.

Officers want to thank several people who came forward after the police issued CCTV images on Thursday, March 20, in an appeal for information.

The investigation is ongoing.
