TWO men from Weston-Super-Mare have admitted killing a man from Wiveliscombe, but prosecutors have been given time to consider whether their pleas to manslaughter are acceptable. Daniel Bond, 34, and Lee Conlon, 37, of Weston-super-Mare, are charged with the murder of 55-year-old Jason Lock in May. Mr Lock died in hospital on the night of May 18 following an incident in Stockers Close, Wiveliscombe, the previous evening. In a brief hearing at Bristol Crown Court today, June 16, both men pleaded not guilty to murder: instead they both pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The prosecution asked for 28 days for the Crown Prosecution to consider the pleas, but suggested “It is likely they will be acceptable.” The judge granted the CPS 28 days to consider the pleas, and remanded both defendants in custody.
