Police are appealing for witnesses or dash-cam footage of the crash on the A38 near Beambridge Inn in which the driver of a Toyota 4x4 was seriously injured yesterday.

The collision bteween the Toyota and a lorry happened at about 11.20am.

The male driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Two passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.

Diversions were put in place while the road was closed in both directions from the Perry Elm roundabout to the Beambridge Inn.
