THE postponement of Wellington's home game against Ilfracombe Town yesterday because of the bad weather is proving a 'major headache' for the club.
Wellington still have five more home games on the Playing Field to be played by April 15 before the cricketers take over the ground.
Club secretary Jeff Brown said: "Every postponement makes it ten times worse. We also have two more away games which must be played by April 29."
The decision to call off the game against Ilfracombe was taken in mid-afternoon yesterday to avoid the North Devon side travelling.
Meanwhile Wellington are due to play at home again on Saturday when they face Helston in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League (3.00). Wellington are 15th in the table and Helston sixth.
Wellington also face a home fixture against title-chasing Mousehole next Tuesday (7.45).
The Reserves are without a game this weekend but play at home to Beer Albion in the first division of the Devon & Exeter League next Wednesday (7.30).
Wellington A are away to North Petherton in the Premier Division of the Taunton Saturday League tomorrow.
