WELLINGTON sprang the surprise of the day by beating leaders Helston 1-0 at home in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League.

Kieran Bailey netted the only goal of the match with a 43rd minute header.

Wellington goalkeeper Jake Viney, who made a splendid save to deny Curtis Damerell in the 88th minute, was named Man of the Match.

It was Wellington’s last home game of the season. They will be back in action on Tuesday when they play away to Bridgwater United in another league match.
