In the latest match this week, they gained a 18-2.5 victory over their second team at their base at Coram’s Lane.

At 1 Barry Bartram beat David Thorne 10-15, 15-7, 15-10, 15-6; at 2 Andrew Carpenter beat Simon Butters 15-12, 15-7, 15-5; at 3 Mike Broom beat James Pill-Waring 15-8, 15-9, 12-15, 15-5; at 4 Tom Hendy beat Dan Keywood 11-15, 15-8, 15-6, 11-15, 15-13 and at 5 Chris Short beat Ed Barrett 15-10, 15-9, 8-15, 15-3.

The final score was Wellington 1 18 Wellington 2 5. Next Monday the first team are away against Kings College and the second team are at home against Wyvern 5.

Wellington have a 100 per cent record after three matches, and lead second-placed Wyvern 4 by five points, both teams having played the same number of matches.
