WELLINGTON Rugby Club have announced the formation of a senior women's team for the 2024-25 season.
Hugh Barrett said: “This has been something the club has keenly wanted to get off the ground. What better time than during the club’s 150th anniversary season.”
Training commenced in mid May and numbers are increasing weekly. There is a really good buzz around the group and new and existing players are joining weekly. The feedback from the group has been really positive.
“We are a very warm and welcoming club committed to providing the best opportunities for women to play this great game.
Training is on Monday and Wednesday evenings From 6.45 to approximately 8pm.
