Wellington then lost a player through injury and had no replacement. Weston exploited their chances and scored wide out with the extras added. Weston scored twice more before half time..  The Wellington players regrouped and still a man down went on the offensive.and hooker Lucas Jenkins drove over the line wide ou. Wellington then played some of the best rugby of the afternoon,  working hard driving up the park when open side flanker Ashton Cottrell received the ball 20m out and barrelled through the defence to score under the posts. Jon Long added the extra points.

As Wellington tired Weston got on top to finally win 31-12. Man of the match: Ashton Cottrell . Wellington are away to Tor on Friday.
