WELLINGTON have a great chance to pull off their first win of the season when they play away to second from bottom Saltash United in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League tomorrow (Sat).
"We're not going there to be negative, we're going there to take all three points," said assistant player-manager Jack Porter today.
"I was over the moon with our overall display at Ilfracombe (1-1) this week. It was a 90-minute performance. That's been lacking this season. We play for 60 minutes and then it fizzzles out."
Although they have been competitive this season, Wellington have not had a great deal of luck. But there are signs the side is improving.
They only have two more away matches before they play their first game on the Playing Field - against St Blazey, on Saturday, September 16. In all Wellington will have played nine successive away games which is tough for any team.
Wellington Reserves are without a fixture tomorrow while Wellington A play away to Nether Stowey in the first division of the Taunton Saturday League.
