WELLINGTON Ladies put up a spirited fight before going out to Clevedon in the semi-finals of the Fear Plate - a county bowls competition.

As the semi finals needed to be played at a neutral ground the match was held at Taunton Deane Bowling Club at Blackbrook.

Wellington were prepared for an tough match as Clevedon are a very experienced team and included two players who play for England.

Wellington played their hearts out but were convincingly beaten. It was a privilege and an experience to play against such experienced players.

Many congratulations to the Wellington Ladies for getting this far and thanks to Taunton Deane for hosting the match.
