WELLINGTON slumped to a 29-0 loss against Okehampton in Regional Two South West - their second big away defeat of the season.
Having gone into the game in fourth place in the table, it was a disappointing result for Wellington who would have become joint leaders if they had won.
Wellington's head coach Graham Dawe said: Okehampton are a good side but it was disappointing to come away with no points.
"Definsively, they are very strong and we could not break through even though we had oppportunities.
"They led 22-0 at half time, having scored a try early on and two more just before the interval."
Wellington, who lost 51-15 away to Newton Abbot a fortnight earlier, never seriously looked like they were going to win after two exciting home victories - against Cullompton and Wadebridge.
Biggest result of the day was Topsham's 82-7 home win over Truro. Other results in the division included: Teignmouth 33, North Petherton 27; Wadebridge 20, Crediton 14; Winscombe 17, Tiverton 10; Newton Abbot 35 Cullompton 28.
Wellington have no match this coming weekend. Their next fixture is at home to Winscombe in the league on Saturday, October 12.
Wellington 2nd XV also have a blank weekend before playing away to Chard in Counties Three South West..
