WELLINGTON gained a 26-19 home win over North Petherton in Regional Two South West this afternoon (Sat) despite being down to 14 men for almost the entire match.
They had Billy Brooks harshly sent off with only eight minutes of the game gone.
Wellington, who gained revenge for a 24-22 defeat at Petherton in December, led 12-7 at half time following tries by Evan Greening and outstanding skipper Danny Lee, one of which was converted by Tom Owen.
The home side went on to lead 26-12 in the second half with two tries by Liam Phillips, both of which were converted by Owen.
Wellington finished deserved winners but created enough tries to have won by a bigger margin.
