WATER Babies have a two-point lead at the top of the Wellington Ladies Skittles League after gaining a thrilling two-pin away success over champions All Blacks.

Emma Hockey knocked 56 for the leaders while Jo Luckhurst hit 57 for All Blacks - the highest score of the night.

Jolly Blues are second after winning by 33 pins against Land Girls who drop to fourth with Katie Jordan scoring 53 for the Blues who have a vital game in hand on the Babes.

Muppets kept in the hunt with a 20-pin home victory over Wobbly Pins with Sue Wharton in good form with 56 for the winners.
