SANDRA Lawrence is one of three players who have scored hole in ones at Oake Manor Golf Club recently.

Sandra was competing in the Ladies Captains Day Charity event which raised more than £600 for Citizens Advice Somerset.

The overall winner of this fun competiton was Shane Bordier, who scored 50 points and won on countback.

Scratch golfer Mark Tydings also scored a hole in one on his way to equaling the amateur course record of 64 at Oake Manor - with a splendid round of golf. He was competing in a Stableford Competition for the Kingfisher Trophy which was won by Christian Hopwood who scored 44 points.

The previous week Janet Howe had a hole in one on the 14th hole while playing in the Ladies 3 Ball Yellow Peril Team Competition - all scores to count. Each team has a yellow ball which is rotated between the players and scores double points. The winning team were Karen Grabham, Amanda Mather and Linda Sully scoring 138 points, second were Jenny Swann, Bev King and Janet Howe with 137 points while Mary Beakes, Gill Nichols and Emma Fitzgerald were third with 127 points.
