THE Cottage Inn in Wellington is running a summer skittles mixed triples tournament which is open to all players and of all abilities. 

Players must be at least 18 years of age, Matches will be played on Thursday nights and Friday nights starting from the 23rd May. 

The winners and runners up will each receive a cash prize plus the winning team will be awarded the Glyn Evans Memorial Cup. 

Entry costs £10.00 per team; so please can all entries be submitted to the Cottage by Sunday 12th May along with team name and contact details. The entry fee will cover the first round sticker up fees. For more information please message the Cottage via Facebook or telephone 01823 664650.

Glyn Evans was a wellknown former schoolmaster who was a regular at the Cottage up to his 100th year. He had his own chair at the pub and was treated as a special customer!

Former students at Court Fields School in Wellington will remember Glyn whose taught there for a number of years. He went on to enjoy like outside of schooling and made many friends at the Cottage.
