A TOTAL of 30 teams entered the 6-a-side knockout competition which was once again held at the Wellington Football Club, chasing the £500 on offer.

13 previous winners again entered the competition, but after the first round, only nine were still standing.

The prize of £50.00 for the highest team score in the first round was won by Reservists, with Glen Escott knocking an impressive 70 in their game against previous winners Scuppas.

2022 winners, the Redskins, were captained in the final against the aforementioned Reservists by John Lane and they won by just four pins last Saturday night in a narrow encounter to edge past the 2016 victors.

£300 went to the winners and £150 to the runners-up, the latter who were captained by Darren Sparkes.
