WELLINGTON slumped to an agonising 40-38 defeat away to Burnham on Sea in the quarter-finals of the Somerset Cup tonight (Fri).

Wellington, who left out skipper Danny Lee following his sending off against Tiverton last weekend, twice trailed by 14 points.

But they staged a fightback in the second half, scoring four tries through Will Hodgson, Jason Rowland, Cam Venn, back after illness, and Vinnie Robson, to lead 38-33 only to a fall to a late try and conversion by the home side.
