“This game could define the season for both sides,” said Wellington coach Allyn Chetland whose team have not played since they beat new leaders Penryn 24-10 at home on Saturday, January 6.
“Obviously it has been very frustrating but it has been good for some of our injured players and we’re looking forward to Saturday’s game.”
Penryn went top over the weekend after beating Hayle 49-0 but Saltash are only one point behind them and Wellington four - and both have two games in hand.
Wellington have doubts over the fitness of Nev Pitman, Micky Norman, Martin Walker and Harry Ramsey.
“Of the four we’re hoping Martin will be fit but we will still be able to field a strong side because we have a strong squad,” added Chetland.
Wellington will be chasing the season’s double over Saltash, having beaten them 32-26 earlier in the season.
In fact, Wellington are on a 12-match winning run, having not lost for more than four months.
