Wiveliscombe’s new coach Neil Clark met the players for the first time at a training session on Thursday of last week.
The 39-year-old former hooker has played for Exeter Chiefs, Bristol, Bath and French club Oyonnax. “He made it clear to the players what he wants from them and the direction he would like the side to be going,” said Wivey’s director of rugby Jake Sharland, who is himself set to play more regularly this season.
Ex-Wellington and Wiveliscombe player Matt Parsons also took a pre-season session last week and is expected to be involved with the club this season.
Wiveliscombe have also said they will be holding their annual meeting in the clubhouse on Friday, July 24.
