ROCKWELL Green Shortmat Bowls Club hosted Oaktree for a 4 mat friendly contest. A lot of banter took place before game could start.

To start Mike , Reg & John Y were drawn against Cherry , Mick ,& Martin. Scores were level after 4 ends but a 5 on end 5 put the Green in command. They went on to take the next 2 ends to be 11-2 up with 3 to play.

Oake did make a slight recovery but still went down 12-5 .Next up John St, Brian, & Bob against Vickie, David Co & Doug. Things started well for Oake to be 4-2 up after 5 ends The Green found form taking the remaining 5 ends for a 13-4 victory .

With the Green leading 25-9 Mike R, Dave D & John Y matched with David Co, Sue & Rod, The early stages were tightly contested before the Green had the rub of the green to run away with the game coming out with a 16-8 victory.

The last game of the evening saw the 3 Bs Bill .Brian & Bob playing Doug , Vickie & Martin . In a very one sided game the Green trio only allowed the Oake trio one end, racking up a 21-1 destruction of the Oake trio. Final scores: The Green 62, Oake 18.
