THE curtain has gone down on another season in the Blackdown Hills Skittles League following the final of the pairs competition.
It was staged at The Catherine Wheel, Hemyock, and produced convincing winners.
Olly Risdon, who has been reporting on matches for the WWN all winter, and Ashley Phillips won the competition by a convincing margin from runners-up Paul May and Richard Bradbeer.
The result of the pairs final: 1 Olly Risdon, Ashley Phillips 143, 2nd Paul May and Richard Bradbeer 122 and third Judd Jackson and Bobby Barnes 120.
It has been a long, hard season with Pitch Plate Rejects winning Division A while Brass Monkeys won Division B.
