WELLINGTON B lost by 27 shots against second-placed Minehead in Somerset South West 2 Bowls League.

Trevor Jenkins, Paul Kelsall, Alan May and skip Andrew Baird started well and were 8-3 up at the halfway stage but the Minehead four moved up a gear to win 21 – 11.

Kevin Austin, Mark Bond, Ron Elston and skip Andrew Pearce put up a good fight and only lost by four shots 20 – 24.

Will Smith, Brian Wombwell, Alan Avery and skip Ernie Windsor also lost out 26 – 13. The overall score was Minehead 71, Wellington B 44. 

Minehead will now be promoted to South West 1 League.
