FORMER champions Kilve ended the season in style with a nine-wicket home victory over relegated Stoke St Mary on the last day of matches in the first division of the West Somerset Cricket League.
Having bowled out Stoke for only 68, Kilve knocked off the runs despite losing a wicket with only four runs scored. Jay Darrell knocked 59 not out.
Jim Taylor took 3-23, Tom Smith 3-26 and Dean Marchant 2-10.
Churchinford ended their stay in the first division with defeat away to Over Stowey who won by seven wickets after bowling out their rivals for 75. Kieran Barrow took 3-19 and Sam Thomas 2-90. Shay Keohane scored 46 for Stowey.
In the only other match played Morebath won by 85 runs away to East Huntspill who scored 194-9 in their 40 overs. Patrick Chisholm hit 60 and Josh Beatie 67 for East Huntspill.
Main run-makers for Morebath were James Gray, R Bowden and Carl Hooper who all made half centuries.
Ashbrittle won the first division, finishing 86 points clear of runners-up Bagborough, while Kilve were third 15 points further adrift.
At the other end of the table, Brompton Ralph just managed to avoid relegation, finishing with only six more points than Stoke St Mary.
