WELLINGTON include Kieran Ireland in their squad for today's (Sat) game at home to Ilfracombe Town in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League (3p.m.).

The attacking midfielder has not played since he suffered a leg injury against Shepton Mallet at the beginning of August. Ireland will almost certainly be on the substitutes' bench.

Meanwhile, Wellington's assistant player-manager Jack Porter remains upbeat despite his side's 6-0 drubbing at Barnstaple last weekend.

"This will not be defining our season," said Porter this week. "We have to look at the wider picture. Barnstaple are a very good side. We had a game-plan at Barnstaple but we had to change if after they scored early on. They caught us with a well-worked short corner."

Looking forward to the Ilfracombe game he said: "We certainly feel we can beat them. Much, of course, will depend on who is available."

Wellington will be hoping Ryan Brereton and Miles Quick, who both missed the game at Barnstaple, will be available. They are not expecting Willand to be releasing Josh Baker and Nathan Byrne.

Wellington go into the match with only one win in ten league games - and with only six points. Only Millbrook, who have yet to pick up a point, are below them. But it is tight at the bottom with only three points separating Wellington from 13th place St Blazey.

Wellington Reserves, still top of the first division in the Devon & Exeter League despite their 1-0 setback against Newtown Reserves last weekend, are away to third-placed East Budleigh.

Wellington A's unbeaten record in Division One of the Taunton Saturday League will be at stake when they play away to Norton Fitzwarren.

Wellington Wildcats are away to Yeovil Town Women in the first division of the Somerset Women's League tomorrow (Sunday), while Wellington Ladies are home to Bridgwater VPR in Division Two South (2p.m.).
